  hey all,.

  just thought i'd check out all the hoopla with this site.since i can't phone home without my parents being on here and talking to me at the same time.. anyone elses parents huge apostates?

  i keep telling my mom my dad she write a book on jw's,all he needs are some good typing skills and he'd be off.. i am wondering if anyone knows about any support groups for addicted computer users?

  it seems the entire world feels that americans are not only ignorant of international events but also void of any sense regarding their own politics.

  At the hall last night

  i went to the hall last night to get an insight book and a concordance.

  i had set it up with an elder ahead of time to get them.

  i arrived after the meeting had ended, walked up to the counter anxious to leave as quickly as i came when a big brother came up to me, planted his body in between me and the literature servant and started giving me the third degree about who i am, what is my standing in the congregation, and what did i want the books for.

  Speaking just from my JW family, there is a HIGH divorce rate, I think out of all my JW cousins there are only 2 who are still married and one of that 2 nearly went through a divorce, all of my brothers and sisters divorced, and some of my JW cousins have 2-3 divorces under their belts. I wonder how the JW's divorce rates compare with say Mormons?

  JW Conscientious Objectors Service or Service

  my other post got me thinking, can conscientious objectors serve in some way and say out of jail?

  here is a story of a man who served in wwii and recieved a metal of honor.

  i can remember hearing stories when i was a kid about how these brave brothers didn't serve in the military and ended up in jail, i always thought that if it was up to me i'd rather serve, why can't jw's serve if called upon if not as a fighter why not as a nurse or in some other way?

  My dad missed the draft, I think it was because he was too old by that time, but his brothers (non-JW) joined up, I wonder what words were said between them when my dad joined the JW's, my parents joined the cult in the mid 70's so the daft was over by then but still I wonder how my uncles felt. I wish they were around for me to ask them.
